Garage being converted into podcast studio

Introducing Studio 604: I’m Building a Studio in My Garage

For as long as I can remember, storytelling has been a central part of my life. From filming home videos as a teenager to creating content in the early days of YouTube, I’ve always been drawn to the idea of sharing ideas, humor, and insights with others. Now, after years of learning, growing, and evolving as a creator, I’m embarking on my most exciting project yet: Studio 604—a creative studio I’m building right in my garage.

Studio 604 represents more than just a space; it’s the realization of years of creative exploration, hard lessons, and a renewed focus on what matters most. Let me tell you how we got here.

Why Studio 604?

A Lifetime of Creativity

I’ve been creating digital content since 1999—music, videos, web series, short films… you name it. What started as a passion evolved into a serious pursuit by 2017, when I dove into podcasting and livestreaming. Those formats brought new challenges: managing equipment, dealing with technical issues, and coordinating schedules, which made consistency difficult.

From 2019 to 2024, I worked in the television industry, gaining access to professional studios, high-end cameras, and production tools. I gained invaluable experience, but even with access to all those resources, the hurdles of coordinating people, schedules, and locations remained a constant struggle.

The answer became clear: I needed my own studio—a place where I could create freely without logistical barriers. Studio 604 is my solution. By building it in my garage, I have the freedom to create on my schedule while also offering others the opportunity to bring their own ideas to life.

Flexibility at Home

Over the years, I realized the key to solving these challenges was right in front of me: my own home. By building a professional studio in my garage, I could create a space that was always available, always ready, and fully under my control.

Studio 604 is designed to be a place where creativity can flourish without logistical headaches. It’s my way of simplifying the process, not just for myself but for anyone who wants to create high-quality content without unnecessary barriers.

A Shift in Perspective

In addition to building Studio 604, another major change has shaped my creative philosophy: stepping away from social media. For years, like many creators, I felt the constant pressure of posting, chasing engagement, and staying relevant in a fast-paced digital world.

In 2023, I decided to step back. Disconnecting from social media allowed me to reclaim my time and energy, focusing on projects that truly matter. If you’re curious about why I made this decision, I wrote about it in detail here.

Studio 604 is a direct result of that shift. By focusing less on the noise of social media and more on meaningful work, I’ve been able to channel my energy into creating something tangible—a space where real stories can be told.
